Marshmallows
Serves 12IngredientsGelatine50ml Cold Water 250 ml (170 g)SUGAlite Pinch of Salt 125ml (½ cup) Water 1 Egg White 5ml (1t) Vanilla Essence | |
Method
- Hydrate the gelatine in the cold water.
- Boil the SUGAlite, salt and water together until soft ball stage is reached. Take off the heat and stir in the hydrated gelatine, stir well until the gelatine has dissolved.
- Beat the egg whites unitl the soft peak stage. Gradually pour the warm syrup into the foam beating continuously until it is thick and creamy.
- Mix in the vanilla essence and pour into a greased tin. Leave the marshmallows in cool dry place until set. When set cut into squares.
