Meringues

Serves 10

Ingredients

2 Egg Whites
125 ml (85 g)SUGAlite
5ml (1t) Vanilla Essence


Method

  1. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. While still beating, slowly add the SUGAlite and vanilla essence.
  2. Place the meringue mixture into a piping bag and pipe the desired shape on to a greased baking tray. Alternatively, spoon the meringue mixture on to a baking tray.
  3. Place into a preheated oven at 120ºC for 1½ hours. Switch off oven and leave meringues in oven until cold.

Recommend: 2-3 meringues per serving
