Health Bread


Ingredients

100ml Digestive Bran
375ml (1½C) Whole-wheat Flour
250ml (1C) Cake Flour
100ml Oats
60ml (¼C) Chopped pecan nuts
60ml (¼C) Linseed
5ml (1t) Bicarbonate of Soda
5ml (1t) Salt
125ml (½C) Sunflower seeds
30ml (2T) Huletts Molasses
500ml (2C) Buttermilk

Method

  1. In a large bowl place the all the dry ingredients, except sunflower seeds.
  2. Add the molasses and buttermilk to the above and mix well.
  3. Sprinkle half the sunflower seeds, to line well greased 25cm loaf tin.
  4. Spoon dough into the tin and sprinkle remaining sunflower seeds on the top of the loaf.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 60 minutes (1 hour)
  6. Remove from tin and allow to cool.
